The  Instituto de Banhos de Floresta train Forest Bathing Guides and Forest Therapy Guides, in colaboration with the European Forest Therapy Institute.

The Instituto de Banhos de Floresta and European Forest Therapy Institute training is a combination of the latest cutting edge research on forests and human health, international nature connection practices, science and ancient wisdom traditions. We respect  the social, cultural and environmental context in which people live.

The Instituto de Baños de Bosque and European Forest Therapy Institute training 5x5 training model:

  • Provide you with a comprehensive toolkit and tailored individual support to integrate Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy into your work environment.
  • Equip you with a unique theoretical framework to guide forest bathing walks, experiences, workshops and retreats.
  • Facilitate and encourage you to design specific forest therapy interventions for special populations.
  • Enhance your relationship with nature thus supporting your healing and strengthening your meaning and purpose.
  • Enable you to integrate international nature connection methods, skills, and research to enhance your life and career path.

7 days immersion and the Practice, at home, consists of a combination of experiential and classroom style learning using the 5x5 model.

The 5x5 model is a framework where you will learn:

  • The Art of Guiding and Core Forest Bathing Techniques to guide your forest bathing walks/experiences.
  • The Science of Forest Bathing: the evidence based practice.
  • Embodied presence and working with the senses.
  • The Forest Bathing framework 5x5-model.
  • Trail selection criteria.
  • Cultural considerations and enhancing your relationship with the land.
  • Naturalist knowledge on your area.
  • Enhancing personal awareness of your relationship with nature.
